I have been travelling quite extensively with Steve Jones of Tripping with Steve. I have travelled South Africa from Cape Town and headed North and East. Every trip I have completed with Steve has been an absolute pleasure, in terms of utter professionalism. Everything went smoothly – from the route to accommodation. I have encountered a few mechanical issues with my own bike such as punctutes and bolts snapping etc. Steve was there to sort it out, so that the trip could proceed in a natural fashion. The places I have travelled to have been awe inspiring and I take my hat off to this amazing tour operator. Never once did I ever feel that I was in trouble, or I was bored or that the money was not well spent. My next trip awaits and I will most certainly contact the Tripping with Steve company for yet another excellent tour. Thank you Steve – you have opened my eyes to a wonderful world. All the best to you and your company.

I can not thank Steve enough for what has to be regarded as one of the finest trips I've ever experienced. Yes I've ridden in Morocco, South America and Thailand. Each location with their own unique beauty: landscapes and terrain. Without doubt the Drakensberg (South Africa, Kwa Zulu Natal,) holds its own against any other beautiful landscape worldwide. But here's the thing, and it's a BIG BUT, my host Steve, and the behind the scenes production, thanks to Tripping With Steve was far beyond any other guides I've toured with. Steve's in-depth knowledge of local culture and language, his riding and mechanical skills, guidance and organisation (fuel stops, accommodation, food and pub stops etc,) are seriously second to none. Again Steve, I am so glad to have gone Tripping with you, Travel safe my friend, Thank you and take care.

TWS Trips are well organized and always something of interest to see and experience, whether it's the riding or the final destination. Looking forward to many more adventures. Keep up the great work! Steve and I travelled together for a few days and we covered- amongst others- Kwazula Natal, the Drakenberg mountain range, the Sani Pass and drove into Lesotho. Expect an approach that is different then generic, large tour operators. Steve will know to find known and less-well-known mountain passes, dirtroads and routes. Not neccessarily big hotel chains, but nice local accomodation. Quirky, lovely tearooms that you would have never found by yourself and it seems he knows everybody and everybody knows him, from local park rangers and border control officers to restaurant owners. It will never be boring! To top it off, Steve is handling his big, heavy BMW R1250GS, which is loaded with tools and equipment, with ease. No challenge will be stepped away from, if you are into exciting rides. If you are looking for an energetic trip, off the beaten track and filled with local ingredients, Steve is your man.

Having recently travelled with Steve I can honestly say that this was not only a great ride, with terrain and mountains that will leave you gasping, but it was Steve who made the tour so pleasurable. He is this down to earth, positive, 6 foot plus man who is so knowledgeable and passionate about his profession and who can handle his GS1200 BMW unbelievably. The accommodation and food (red wine…hehehe!!) was fantastic and so reasonable for us Yanks. This was a spur of the moment decision to travel with Steve who I met by chance while I was in South Africa, and I can honestly say it was a highlight of my visit and a great decision. Thanks Steve/Stone (its, on your bikes screen) for an amazing couple of days and you are welcome in Tennessee if you ever in the USA. Good luck for the future.( say bye to Obelisk)
