This tour leaves from Cape Town and travels up to the eastern side of the Free State while following the mighty Drakensberg Mountain range once we get to KwaZulu Natal. This tour will show case the diversity of this beautiful country as we travel through 3 different provinces on route. We go over some of the most spectacular gravel road mountain passes in the Eastern Cape on route to the scenic Drakensberg and towards Kamberg via Loteni. Accommodation and flood are excellent as are the combination of gravel and tar roads. We travel through rural South Africa experiencing breath taking rides and views. The shear diversity of this tour will leave lasting impressions and memories.
DURATION: 9 days (11 days if the Midlands tour is incorporated into the Drakensberg tour.)
BEST TIME: March – June or September – November. Winter months can be extremely cold and often there is snow.
TECH: This is a 60/40 on /off road tour. The roads are excellent, and this is pillion friendly.

The Midlands tour will be incorporated into the Drakensberg tour for an additional cost. We travel through rural KwaZulu, via Underberg and its stunning scenery entering the Natal midlands where we visit the famous landmarks including the capture site of world-renowned Nelson Mandela. We stay in the beautiful Nottingham Road hotel before circling back to continue with the Drakensberg tour.
DURATION: 2 days will be added to the Drakensberg tour.

TECH: This is 100% on paved roads and very pillion friendly.
